PostSubject: back to reliants   back to reliants EmptySat Sep 06, 2014 11:20 pm

Just gone back to Reliants after a 4 year break playing with sidecars and a Bond minicar. bought an 89 Rialto off Ebay, described as "a very usable 3 wheeler just motd " strange how dealers manage to get wrecks a new mot where the likes of us get failed for the most trivial thing isnt it? Anyway, despite the desintegrating clutch, thrust bearing and pressure plate virtually in bits, and the corroded radius arm repaired with fibre glass, and the leaking radiater hoses I managed the 30 mile drive home..the body on this one is quite remarkable considering the state of the mechanicals, still you cant win them all and i like a challenge, sorted the clutch ,radius arm and hoses, and now have quite a decent reliant. after the bond minicar the rialto is pure luxury. hope to get to a few events rallies now, if i havnt missed them all this year.
