My 1983 Rialto van (first series). UK car, imported into the Netherlands. It's actually my second Reliant, the first being a resto project Regal 3/25 saloon, but I bit off more than I could chew!
Here is the van posing with a Carver (a Dutch 3-wheeler that leans like a motorbike - sadly the company has now gone bust)

Here getting the chassis stamped (required by Duch law, Reliant didn't seem to bother) during import:

Here you can see that Duplicolor 'Willow Green' doesn't quite match!

The slightly modified interior (aluminium plates, extra clocks, radio in glove compartrment).

Carpetted load bay with upholstered sides. I replaced the original grey vinyl seats with black, and sprayed the rear seat, dashboard and door panels to match with vinyl paint:

I bought it unseen on eBay in the UK, and drove it 500 kilometers home to Holland. With a smile all the way. This was somewhere in Sussex.

It's off the road at the moment, as I rebuilt the carb and plan to put an electronic disti in (which I have). Battery is knackered and I can't get one that small here in Holland (yet). Once I get one and after a few hours spanner wielding, I can be mobile again.

My mk6 the day we dragged it from the barn it had sat in for 30 years. It collapsed in the middle as we unloaded it! Now undergoing full restoration on a new old stock chassis...

Its a 1953 7cwt Reliant, the bread van body does make it look like a Raleigh though.

Thats a lovely looking Mk6, is it restored or just very well looked after? Hopefully mine will be that shiny one day...

Photos flatter it somewhat. It is clean and tidy and runs well on its original sidevalve engine, having been restored between 1992 when I bought it as a just about running car needing lots of attention, and 2005 when it was road legal again.  The finish is very obviously brush painted from a few paces, but shiny Smile .

I have just returned from a shakedown run of 62 miles to see if anything needs attention, after passing its MOT yesterday with no advisories. Apart from a few minutes to overcome a fuel vapour-lock problem after stopping at Tesco's in Southam, and a precautionary return home with the engine cowl off (it is very warm here), it ran fine. I'm still waiting for my sandwiches to cool down so that I can eat them Smile

Here's my first Reliant, which came to me via ebay around 18 months ago. It was roadworthy but I knew it needed some work to finish it off, though I've probably spent more time tinkering with it than originally planned. It's not perfect by any means but it's been a good challenge and damn good fun (most of the time!), which is exactly why I bought it:

The Kitten met her great-grandfather for the first time this week, hopefully they'll get along together ok! Smile  The girder fork van ia another ebay purchase and will be a project for the winter; it's been restored but requires finishing off, plus I want to give it a thorough going over before putting it on the road. No doubt there'll be loads of extra fiddly jobs to do, but it's all good fun!

Thanks!  Sorry for the delay in replying - I was away last week, went to Tamworth on Sunday, and heaven knows where this week has gone! Anyway, some more photos of the girder fork van follow, as you'll see the new body is a bit too angular but when it's finished off with a wood strip along the waist to break the sides up, something around the wheelarches (the originals aren't available and might not fit anyway), a black roof plus more period style lights on the back it should look a bit better. I'm fitting new seats that actually offer some back support (side facing ones from the back of a Land Rover) and will probably end up rewiring most of it - it'll keep me out of mischief anyway!
