Got BT in the garage and its now being worked on Before removal of parts ASH are supplying us with the silicone hoses, a couple more bits to come. Pretty much everything removed from the top part of the engine. Had a late start today so not much done, hoping to have the engine out and the other one in tomorrow, we'll see how things go. I have quite abit of work to do here and there but it should be good after

Never noticed it lol, its just the picture, its the most recent pumps available and they do seem abit taller than the old ones anyway, because the distributor isn't in place it makes it look high up.

Didn't get much done today as had a family BBQ, did however get the engine out and have moved bits over, the other engine is now being stored. Ended up having to buy a couple of sets of feeler gauges as the old ones have been lost, but had past it anyway so not to worry! Anyway the dipstick was a pain in the ass to fit but that's now done and I hope it doesn't leak. I changed my breather idea on the gearbox top and should work better now. All the hoses are now in and the heat wrap so I guess I best get to work and get the damn things fitted.

Thanks mate Spark plugs fitted NGK as usual Engine ready to be hoisted into place Fitted and bolted onto chassis. I had this problem with the original engine plate, the alternator fouled the plate on half adjustment, giving you no option but to change the belt, I finally decided to just remove some metal so the alternator now has 3/4 adjustment, if I need more I can remove more metal at a later date, but if the belt needs to go passed 3/4 I would rather scrap the belt.

Started off the day with cutting the hoses to size and test fitting them, all went well Hoses fitted and clamped down, certainly looks nicer compared to the usual rubber hoses A new oil filter fitted, it just went round and round, I'm sure its suppose to go here as there is a hole underneath it so I glued it in place. Due to the fan not being very effective I thought I'd try something, the top fan is fitted slightly round compared to the other one, so in theory it should act as a bigger fan.. I tested it just wiring it up and god it pulls some air through! Not tried it on the ducts though A few more bits fitted. A slight alteration to the gearstick, I've altered the underside slightly (you can't see it) and I used some silicone hose over it, feels nice and soft now.. Will make for some even easier changes Also gave the link pipe a coat of paint

On the way to picking up the nearly new cans we came across two of these beauties A nice set of 6month old cans, these are slightly larger compared to the 916 can, but still the same fitments, I am putting my de baffled one to the side for now. Got the headers back, game them a paint and wrapped them up good, I do hate wrapping, even xmas wrapping! Carb fitted along with cables Dist cap fitted, Vacuum line fitted, a few other bits fitted.. I started sorting the exhaust link pipe and can out to be fitted but I felt unwell so resorted to laying down lol.. Will continue tomorrow of course. After the engine is all done, have the rear brakes to sort out still ,also a few interior bits.

Thanks Geoff, I do try but sometimes I get lazy Fitted the rest of the hoses and a few other bits, the engine does run and sounds very nice, however I spotted an oil leak at the rear of the engine, turns out to be the seal, I have removed it and will be fitting a new one tomorrow and re-fitting the gearbox etc and then I can get on with the brakes. I shall attempt a video/sound at some point
