FOX - Hazard lights

The hazard lights on my Fox flash very quickly.
Is this a duff flasher unit?
Is the flasher unit the same as fitted to the Rialto? Most spares sites seem to deny that the Reliant Fox exists but Rialto units are easy to find.

i am a fox owner I have had the same issue the flasher unit for the indicators should be a 8fl the hazard flasher is a 9fl

Useful, thank you, but now a new problem - after rebuilding the dashboard the temperature guage goes to maximum. The engine is not overheating. Any ideas?

there is an earth cable behind the dash with a ring terminal on, it go's on the back of the gauge, it could be that, just a standard black wire with a ring on the end, I spent a week trying to find where it fitted, or the voltage regulator thingy has gone a knacker, I've had to go through all the electrics on my fox, they have been all over the place, I feel i'm really getting to know them now, anything ya want advice on i'll try to check on here once/twice a week

I did put the earth wire back when I re-assembled the dash.
Have now purchased a brand new unit and temp sender which I will fit soon.
The wiring was full of extras - mainly in domestic cable. There was a "spiders web" of wires for an electric fan in front of the rad. Replaced with a thermostatic switch - much simpler.

Temperature gauge problem solved. Faulty voltage regulator replaced. Couldn't find one described as for the Fox so used a Land Rover item - looks identical. Temp reads correctly and fuel gauge looks more reliable.
Spent £30 on new gauges - vr cost less than £10 (inc post)! Mind you, the dash looks smarter so I might go for a matching speedo if I can find one.
Rough running now to be sorted. Loses power when the engine is pushed, 1st gear on a slight slope! Carb or distributor?
